The Virtual Reality Series has been touring the globe, bringing the experience of the most vulnerable communities straight to decision makers, thereby creating deeper empathy and understanding.

Through the use of high tech headsets, delegates are transported Into another time and place as 3D images fill the full range of perspective and tracking technology moves in 360' In lightning speed.

HUMANS OF MY WORLD

From 2013 - 2015, the MY World campaign traveled around the world to hear from people about the things that matter most to them, supporting the data with a photo series that highlighted peoples’ top priorities and why. Check out Humans of MY World, the Facebook page that shares the personal stories of some of the 8.5 million individuals who have voted through MY World,.

NEW MEDIA FOR GOOD

The SDG Action Campaign is exploring new ways In partnership with top new media agencies as well as other UN agencies, the UNMC will develop a video series to lift UN messaging by harnessing knowledge and networks and to reach mass audiences by going viral. The videos will highlight global challenges by focusing on individuals and their personal stories, thereby raising awareness and promoting action by giving viewers a face and a direct connection to problems that often feel too big and endemic to understand.

MEDIA BRIEFINGS

ACROSS AFRICA

Working with UN country teams the UN Campaign will be rolling out a series of media briefing and sensitisation sessions with key media outlets across Africa. To date test events have been conducted in Kenya and Nigeria.

As co-chair of the task team on communications and advocacy for the SDGs working group across the UNDG the Campaign will continue to drive system wide communications efforts for the SDGs working closely with other key teams across the UN system.
